When applied and removed correctly, press-on nails should not damage your natural nails.

We recommend that you:

• Keep your nails clean and dry before application, and avoid using press-ons on injured or inflamed nails.
  
• Choose the right size of nail tips and adhesive to avoid excessive pressure or pulling on the nail plate.
  
• Soak your nails in warm water and/or use a proper remover to fully soften the adhesive before gently lifting the press-ons off, rather than forcefully peeling them away.
  

Giving your nails occasional “rest days” and using nail strengtheners or cuticle oil can also help maintain overall nail health.

Our press-on nails are made from high-quality resin material (e.g., ABS resin commonly used for nail enhancements). Our products are intended for cosmetic use only.

If you have very sensitive skin or a history of allergies, we strongly recommend that you:

For the majority of our designs, August Nail uses Swarovski crystals, renowned for their precise cutting and exceptional light reflection, which create a clean, multidimensional sparkle.

In some pieces, where a specific shape or design effect is required, we may also incorporate other high-quality crystals or embellishments, but we always prioritize overall quality, comfort, and a refined look.

All designs that feature Swarovski crystals will be clearly indicated in the product description on the detail page, so you can easily identify and select them.

Yes. Whenever possible, we choose lightweight, minimal packaging to reduce unnecessary waste.

Our outer boxes and paper materials are designed to be reusable or recyclable, depending on your local recycling rules.

We encourage you to reuse our boxes for storage or gifting, and to recycle paper components after use where facilities are available.

Many of our designs can be reused when they are applied and removed carefully, especially when worn with jelly tabs.

Being able to wear the same set multiple times not only gives you more styling options, but also helps reduce overall waste compared to single-use manicures.

Because some of our pieces are created with a collectible, keepsake quality—especially our fully bespoke designs (see this page for more details)—our customers often choose to keep, reuse, and even display their sets, rather than treating them as disposable items. In this way, each design can be enjoyed over time, both as a wearable artwork and as a small object to be treasured.

Yes, within 24 hours after you place your order, we will send you a confirmation email that includes your design details as well as the estimated processing and shipping time.

If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us at customerservice@augustnail.com within 24 hours of placing it. We will be happy to issue a full refund, and you will be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your refund, please contact us at customerservice@augustnail.com.

After 24 hours of placing the order, please understand that we are unable to provide a refund, as our designers will have already started preparing your custom set. If you encounter any issues after receiving your order, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us—we’ll do our best to assist you.

As our press-on nails are handcrafted custom pieces, we do not accept returns or exchanges once the order has been shipped. If you encounter any issues upon receiving your order, please reach out to us promptly for assistance.

If you receive an incorrect item, please contact us as soon as possible. After we confirm the issue, we will arrange to resend the correct product to you. We will kindly ask you to return the wrong item to the address we provide, and we will cover all shipping costs and related risks. Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation.

If you notice a quality issue not caused by improper use (for example, serious defects on arrival, structural breakage without impact, or decorations falling off shortly after normal application), please contact us as soon as possible with clear photos and your order number. Our team will carefully review the case and, once confirmed, arrange an appropriate solution for you, such as a replacement or other support.

Please note that press-on nails are consumable items, and during regular wear or accidental impact, fading, slight surface wear, or decoration detachment may naturally occur. These are considered normal signs of use and are not eligible for return or exchange. However, if you damage or lose one or a few nails during use, we also offer a single-nail purchase service, so you can easily complete or refresh your set.

All of our press-on nails are handcrafted and customized according to your preferences. Depending on the design and your shipping address, the estimated customization and shipping time is usually around 10 to 25 days. Within 24 hours of placing your order, you will receive a confirmation email, which will also include the estimated delivery time.

Once an order has been shipped and the tracking information shows that the package has been handed over to the shipping carrier, August Nail is no longer responsible for any loss, delay, theft, or damage that may occur during transit. If your tracking number indicates that the package has been delivered but you have not received it, please contact your local courier or postal service directly for further assistance. We recommend checking with neighbors, building management, or your local post office.

August Nail does not offer refunds or replacements for packages marked as delivered, lost in transit, or stolenby the courier. However, our team is always happy to help you file a claim with the shipping carrier if applicable.

If you have fan-shaped nails, we recommend measuring the width from the nail base to about one-third up the nail plate, rather than at the widest point. Measuring only the widest area can make press-on nails harder to wear. For fan-shaped nails, we also do not recommend choosing very sharp or pointed nail shapes at the tip.

Both jelly tabs and liquid glue can secure your press-on nails beautifully, but they offer different benefits. Liquid glue gives a very strong hold, yet it may shorten the reusable life of your nail set. Jelly tabs, on the other hand, are gentle, easy to remove, and keep your nails in perfect condition for repeated wear. For most of our customers, we recommend jelly tabs, as they help extend the lifespan of your press-on nails while still providing a comfortable, reliable hold for everyday use. If you need maximum strength for a special occasion, liquid glue is also a wonderful option.

To enhance the adhesion of the jelly tabs and improve the stability of your press-on nails, you can first apply a smaller jelly tab directly onto your natural nail, then place a larger jelly tab inside the press-on nail. This helps minimize any gaps between your nail and the press-on when you apply it. After application, you can also use a hair dryer to gently warm the nails and further activate the jelly tab’s stickiness.

Yes, the adhesive strength can vary between colors. In most cases, pink, blue, and yellow jelly tabs offer stronger adhesion compared to standard white tabs. If you’re looking for the highest level of hold, kraft paper–colored jelly tabs usually provide the strongest stickiness. We normally provide two types of jelly tabs with different levels of adhesion, so you can choose the one that best suits your needs.

To remove press-on nails applied with jelly tabs, soak your nails in warm, soapy water for 5–10 minutes, then gently lift the sides of each nail until it releases naturally. Any remaining jelly tab can be removed from the back of the press-on nail with tweezers. This gentle method keeps your press-on nails perfectly reusable.

To remove press-on nails applied with liquid glue, soak your fingertips in warm, soapy water for about 10–15 minutes to help loosen the bond. Then, apply cuticle oil around the edges of each nail and gently lift from the sides—never force or peel the nail off. If it doesn’t come off easily, simply soak for a few more minutes and try again. This gentle method helps protect your natural nails and keeps them healthy.

If a press-on nail feels a bit tight or doesn’t fully match your nail shape, simply soak the press-on nail (not your hands) in warm water for a few seconds. Once softened, gently reshape it to match your nail bed. This allows the nail to become wider or flatter, giving you a more comfortable and customized fit.

For both flat nails and downward-curved nails, you can place an extra smaller sticky pad on top of the original one to fill in the gaps. For flat nails, place the additional pad in the center; for downward-curved nails, place it near the fingertip.
